If you plan on chatting here often, we suggest you
DOWNLOAD MIRC, a full-featured IRC client that allows private chats and downloads. |
If you prefer to use a and IRC Client program such as mIRC, you may need to add information about the OncoChat server, as it may not appear in the default server list provided with your program. Doing so is fairly easy, but if you have questions, ask any of the channel operators.
The example below is for mIRC, although the information it is applicable to all IRC client programs.
1. Click Tools, then Options in the mIRC menu bar. The mIRC Options window will appear.
2. Click Servers in the Category menu.

3. Click Add. The Add Server dialog box will appear. Complete the fields as shown below.

4. Click Add. The OncoChat Network now appears as an option in the IRC Network field. You are all done! (Although you may want to do the optional steps below.)

Optional...
1. To automatically join the #oncochat channel after you are logged into the server, you will need to add a join channel command to the Perfom dialog box.
2. Select Options from the Category menu.

3. Click on Perform... to display the Perform dialog box.

4. Make sure Enable perform on connect is checked.
5. Click Add to add the OncoChat network to the Networks menu. When the Networks dialog box appears, select OncoChat and then click OK.

6. Type /join #oncochat in the Perform commands: box, and then click OK.
